About the Artist Earl
I grew up in Midway, KY. I was raised in the country on King Ranch Horse farm. My father was a
Groomsman. My brother is a Farrier. I grew up respecting not only the work & love required in caring
For horses, but the power and beauty. Thus, my first real subjects were what I know best.
Photography allows me to express my feelings. I love to capture and frame the beauty of my world
For others to experience what I see. I am constantly seeking in nature what life has to offer. Every
Day. I get up and look around to see what is there for us to enjoy. I strive to capture in every photo the
Original moment. It makes me warm inside when others appreciate my work. Their smile gives me
Joy. If I can offer a piece or part of my Arts works it makes me light up even more.
If it’s a bird, plane or any large or small thing. it’s part of our lives. If it’s here today and gone
Tomorrow, the remembrance will last forever.
In time, I expanded my focus to other subjects in nature. For every photo, I may drive miles to a
Location to find something unique. I often sit for hours by myself simply observing nature through my
Lens. With this view, I have seen owls and deer hiding in their habitat. Horses playing in the fields, a Hummingbird and bee sparring for food, and blue herons flying low over lakes for their feed.
I continue to develop my skill and technique by reading and continuous practice. I print my own work
To ensure the quality of the art, color, and paper. I purchase my materials primarily from the same
Provider to ensure consistency in my product. I work with local Kentucky retailers for my frames and
Labels.
